Gene Expression Analysis Using DNA Microarray
Technology
at Johns Hopkins Cancer Center
Quigbin Guo
At Hopkins Cancer Center, we have established a DNA
microarray facility to help the investigators in the whole Hopkins
community to use the DNA microarray technology for their gene expression
studies. In my talk, I will give an overview about microarray
technology. Then I will focus on the following aspects of our facility:
(1) detailed description of our set-up and fabrication process; (2)
quality of our microarray chips; (3) resources and services available to
the users; (4) help and collaborate efforts needed from biostatistian
and bioinformatic experts. Finally I will talk about Myc-target genes
as an example for a typical microarray study.
